What is TagBand?

1. How does the TagBand device work?

The TagBand devices have been designed to remove skin tags by the use of ligation. Ligation means to reduce blood supply, which is vital for the growth and survival of a skin tag. TagBand utilizes this method by applying small silicone bands around the base of the the skin tag. 

2. What are the benefits of the ligation method?

Ligation is considered a less invasive way of removing skin tags. It is the simple process of restricting the blood supply and does not require any chemicals, freezing or cutting of the skin.

3. What's included in each kit?

Each kit contains either the Original TagBand or the Auto TagBand applicator. 10 x TagBands, 10x cleanswing swabs and detailed step-by-step instructions for use. 

4. What's the difference between the Original TagBand and the Auto TagBand? 

Both kits use the exact same method of removal, the difference is the application method. The Auto TagBand can be used with one hand. The Original TagBand is more economical. 

Who Should Use TagBand?

1. Can I use TagBand to remove a mole or other skin condition?

TagBand should ONLY be used to treat skin tags. If you are unsure about whether you have a mole, skin tag, or wart, please consult your Doctor or dermatologist for a professional diagnosis, particularly if you wish to remove them.

2. Can TagBand be used on any part of the body?

Tag Band can be used for skin tags located on the face, neck, arms, and torso. It should not be used on sensitive areas such as eyelids, near, the eye, or the groin area.

3. Does the size of my skin tag matter?

Tagband is most effective for skin tags with a diameter of between 0.16 – 0.24 inches at the base of the skin tag.

Who Should Not Use TagBand?

TagBand can be used for skin tags located on the face, neck, arms, and torso.

TagBand should not be used on sensitive areas such as eyelids, near, the eye, or the groin area.

You should never use TagBand if: 

​

  • You have any type of skin cancer or if you ever had skin cancer or have a pre-cancerous skin lesion

  • You are under the age of 22

  • You have a latex allergy

  • You are unsure if you have a skin tag, mole or a wart

  • You are diabetic

  • You have poor blood circulation or have a weakened immune system

  • You have a bleeding disorder or problem (e.g. haemophilia)

  • You have been told by your doctor, or ever been diagnosed with hypertrophic scarring or keloid scarring
